Reliable help in case of a sincere worry

L1 capsid protein in viral particles Cervical cancer is the second most frequent cancer in women worldwide; every year a precancerous stage of cervical cancer is detected in about 750,000 women in Germany. 

The cancer is caused by human papilloma viruses (HPV). HPV is primarily transmitted during sexual contacts, whereupon the virus will at first remain inactive for a long time. Thus, sexually active women – hence, also teenagers – rank among the group at risk.

Every year about 8,000 early deliveries are recorded in Germany prior to completion of the 30th week of gestation. Major cause: Excessive therapy due to conization for HPV lesions. The use of Cytoactiv as prognostic marker for early dysplastic lesions can minimize such risk.
